Through our Career Series, we are on a mission to connect educators and young people with industry. Every day, we collaborate with inspiring professionals from the tech world – and now, we want to share insights from these inspiring role models with you!

Our aim is to spark the next generation’s interest and broaden their understanding of the diverse careers available to them.

Our free, introductory computing courses and new Career Series will inspire young people to develop the skills to shape their future with technology.

Career Series presents inspiring ~30-minute conversations with industry professionals in tech roles from companies like Spotify and Lego. These free sessions feature real-world career insights and guidance on a variety of topics. New for 2025, we offer four student-focused sessions and one for school leaders, all pre-recorded and available for you to explore at a time that works for you:

The Essential Skills Employers Seek Beyond Academics

In this student session, Bob from PNC Bank discusses essential skills such as communication and teamwork, emphasising their importance throughout work and life.

Creative Careers in the Digital Age

Fabi from NovaKid and Duncan from Treehouse Innovation join us for this student session to discuss the opportunities available for young people with creative skills in today’s tech-driven world.

Squiggly Career Paths: Exploring Your Options

Jelsey and Mehdi from Spotify join us to share their unique, squiggly career paths and discuss why it’s okay not to have an answer to the question, ‘What do you want to be?’

Behind the Scenes of Real-World Careers

During this student session, Monica from Spotify and Miles from Lego share insights into their daily roles, the skills they rely on and advice on overcoming challenges.

Industry Tips on Staff Wellbeing

This session, designed for school leaders, is in collaboration with our partner Spectris Foundation. It will delve into the challenges of staff wellbeing and provide actionable tips and strategies from HR professionals that can be effectively applied to schools.
