The TONI&GUY apprenticeship is tailor-made and based on a 24-month programme which consists of working with you to ensure you become the ultimate hairdresser.
This focussed qualification provides the highest level of training, with particular emphasis given in establishing professional behaviour, building communication skills, and ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered.
The apprenticeship will boost your confidence in the workplace resulting in an enhanced work performance and exceptional client experience.
The bespoke apprenticeship will be designed around specific training needs.
You will take charge of your own personal improvement in every aspect of the training, including skills and personal behaviour.
The Level 2 Hair Professional Diploma is the forefront of becoming a hairdresser.
No prior hairdressing qualifications are needed to allow you to take part in the apprenticeship.
GCSEs in Maths and English (grade C/4 or above) would be advantageous. However, this is not essential as Functional Skills can be achieved alongside your Apprenticeship.
It is essential that you have the ability to take an active part in studying, along with a willingness to learn new hairdressing techniques and methods within your hairdressing qualification and have good employability skills such as reliability, communication and teamwork.

The qualification will take place in either of the following dependant on your salon and where you are in the country:
You also carry out additional training with your employer learning within the workplace.
You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours a week and a maximum of 40.
This includes both training delivery and working on the salon floor.
Your hours will be agreed with your employer and detailed in your apprenticeship contract of employment.
As an employed apprentice your employer will provide you with at least the national minimum hourly wage for apprentices, for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Age 16- 18 – You will be paid the apprenticeship wage as a minimum.
Age 19+ – For the first year your will be paid apprenticeship wage as a minimum then after that you will be paid national minimum wage for the rest of the apprenticeship.

Upon finishing your Level 2 apprenticeship you are most likely to be offered a position within your salon to progress onto the next stage within the company.
If this is the case, you will prepare to pre-varder and then varder in the chosen discipline in one of our Academies.
This will then lead to you working in a TONI&GUY salon earing uncapped commission.
